A good deal of learning happens via simple stimulus-response: We touch a hot stove, and we learn not to do it again. We learn by trial and error, by playing with a new piece of software or experimenting with a new recipe. But for the most part, all day long, every day, from the time we are babies, we learn from living within our culture.
