Advantages/Disadvantages of Wikis in Training

Advantages

Wikis are easy to use and learn, and everyone with permission can edit them. The software records every change made and draft created, and most wikis can be set up to alert the owner(s) when changes are made. They are excellent for collaborative work and a wonderful tool for supporting learners who are geographically dispersed. Wikis can be password-protected; the owner and other named administrators can approve users and set access levels (view or edit) for individuals.
