Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking allows users to share, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web resources. This is not file sharing. Only web addresses, not materials, are stored and shared. For instance, in researching this book I was looking for examples of workplace training using wikis. I sent a note out on Twitter and within just a few minutes had a number of responses. One was from Harold Jarche (@hjarche), who sent a link to items he had bookmarked on delicious.com and tagged “wiki.” Figure 6.11 shows a partial screen from this link (http://delicious.com/jarche/wikis).
