8 Getting Your Comments Going

WHEN YOU START GETTING MORE VIEWS ON YOUR VIDEOS, the levels of interaction will grow, and one measure of interaction is comments on your videos (see Figure 8.1). This is a great way to communicate with your fan base and viewers, building up a two-way communication between you and them. Relationship-building is one of the elements that makes social-media tools, such as YouTube, so powerful when compared to more traditional media. Viewers want to feel as if their comments are read and given a reciprocal response. Call this “YouTube Etiquette.”
