18. Personal Ethics Matter

In general, we are all guided by our own moral compasses. Almost everyone has a genuine sense of what is “right” and “wrong.” Our parents, teachers, preachers, leaders, and society in general have molded our compasses. Stark differences can arise in what is viewed as right or wrong across cultures or religions. But as neighbors in a global community, most people try to follow the compass of being nice to their neighbors.

Businesses also need to have moral compasses. Putting themselves into social media communities shines a huge spotlight on their ethics and philosophies.
