Metrics data, organized in the time domain in a framework, present a window into real world. Our purpose here is to see what the present holds out in the context of the past. We also wish to connect events, like a thread connects beads, and see meaningful patterns from which a future can be forecast. We will also be seeing how control charts can be devised to provide support in decision making.
