40.1 From Butterflies to a World in “Blue”: How Did This
Happen?
As a student, the most exciting question was how to get some addi-
tional money? During the holidays I worked in several companies
and earned some money, but it never could be enough. At this
time my father, a dentist, had a hobby to collect butterflies from
all around the world. So I thought about what I can do to preserve
these fragile collector’s items better. I had the idea to encapsulate
these butterflies in acrylics and arrange them in a nice picture frame.
I started designing and producing these pictures, and hired two
salesmen to sell them,
