Creating Mail Aliases

The mail hub for each DNS domain or subdomain must have a complete list of aliases for all users in that DNS domain. The mail hub for the domain uses these aliases to properly deliver e-mail for users in that domain. Mail aliases must be unique within a domain.

This section describes how to create mail aliases for NIS+, for NIS, or on the local system. Use the aliasadm command to create, modify, and delete aliases from a command line. See the aliasadm(1M) manual page for more information.
