Chapter 13. Installing and Managing Application Software
When you support a network that provides application software to users, your responsibilities include the following tasks.
Setting up the software installation environment.
Installing the software on a server or on the users' local system.
Setting up the users' environment to access software.
Removing software that is obsolete or no longer used.
This chapter introduces the package commands and Admintool—two alternative ways to install and manage application software.
