Regular User Rights
By default, any user can list and read information in the SMC tools. This default authorization is provided through the PROFS_GRANTED=Basic Solaris User in the /etc/security/policy.conf file. See “Policy Configuration File (policy.conf)” for more information about the policy.conf file.
The Primary Administrator can prevent regular users from using a specified SMC tool by removing the Read authorization from the Basic Solaris User right.
Use the following steps to remove the Read authorization from the Basic Solaris User right.

From the SMC Users window, click on the Rights icon.
The Rights window is displayed, as shown in Figure 98.
