THE LOW CRAWL—CREDIT REPAIR

Part of our Army training consisted of learning the Military Low Crawl. I suppose it would have been pleasant if I liked the taste of dirt, but I didn't. Our drill sergeants, however, loved it! So, naturally, we spent a lot of time crawling.

The Low Crawl meant flattening ourselves face down on the ground, as low as possible, and dragging ourselves forward for long periods of time. The object was to stay as invisible as possible when approaching the enemy.
