SORTING

To sort your Sony Alpha images, I recommend changing the folder name option (in the Settings 2 Menu) to Date Form, so that a new folder is created for each day you take pictures. Then you can just grab that batch and copy it to a folder on your hard drive, with no intervention from software at all. If you have a Windows computer, the Picture Motion Browser will do it all for you. I just sort mine in folders by day, in a larger folder by year. If you want greater control, just create subfolders under the year and name it with the number of the month followed by the event—something like “04-Birthday” for all the birthday pictures in April.
