Lumens, Brightness and Contrast – What Does it all Mean?
When it comes to projectors and flat panel displays, not all are created equal. Many will vary in color and brightness. Add to this that manufacturers measure their components differently! So, a projector by manufacturer A says it’s 2500 lumens, and another projector by manufacture B says it’s 2500 lumens. One projector will most likely look brighter and crisper than the other.
With this being said, one cannot choose by lumen alone. For that matter, one cannot choose by any one factor alone.
