Running the Optimized Hot Spot Analysis tool

  1. If necessary, open the ArcToolbox toolbox and find the Spatial Statistics Tools toolbox. Open the toolbox and expand the Mapping Clusters toolset. Double-click on Optimized Hot Spot Analysis to display the tool. Select the following input parameters:
    • Input Features: ResidentialSales
    • Output Features: Save the feature class as C:\Users\<user>\Documents\ArcGIS\Default.gdb\ResidentialSalesHS
    • Incident Data Aggregation Method: COUNT_INCIDENTS_WITHIN_FISHNET_POLYGONS
    • Bounding Polygons Defining Where Incidents Are Possible (optional): BexarCountyCensusBlockGroupsJoined
