I want to insert an em dash in my document using the keyboard shortcut. However, when I press
Ctrl+Alt+-, the pointer changes to a thick, dark horizontal line.
You used the wrong hyphen—press the minus key on the numeric keypad, not the
hyphen/minus sign to the right of the zero on the keyboard. Pressing the key combination
