the list, click the arrow to its right, and choose Select All nn Instance(s) (conveniently, Word
tells you exactly how many times you’ve used that particular bit of formatting).
This technique is the preferred way to change styles applied to a particular type of text. If
you’ve used direct formatting to make all product names appears as Arial 18-point, italic
blue, you might decide you want to apply the ProductName style instead. No problem.
Select all text with the direct formatting (as shown in Figure 21.3) and then click the
ProductName style to instantly reformat every instance.
