Chapter 29 Using Excel in a Workgroup
Normally, Excel updates an open, shared workbook with other users’ changes only when
you save the workbook. Likewise, other users see your changes only when they save the file
after you save your work. In a fast-paced environment in which several users are editing a
workbook simultaneously, you might want to see and save changes more often. Follow these
steps to adjust automatic update options:
1. Open or switch to the shared workbook and select Tools, Share Workbook.
2. Click the Advanced tab to display the dialog box shown in Figure 29.10.
