Protecting scenarios from inadvertent changes is a crucial step when you plan to share
workbooks with other people, but these options are confusing if you don’t understand how
Excel protects workbooks. Clicking the Prevent Changes check box tells Excel you don’t
want anyone to be able to change or delete a given scenario. Selecting the Hide box
removes a scenario from the Scenario Manager, without removing the scenario itself. After
enabling these options, however, you must turn on protection for your entire worksheet.
