Appendix A Advanced Setup Options
After running through the wizard, save the results as a Windows Installer transform file with
the *.mst extension. When you run Setup, add the TRANSFORMS option on the command
line or in a settings file; for example, if you create a transform file called Custom.mst, use
the following command line to install Office exactly as you defined it in the Custom
Installation Wizard:
Setup.exe TRANSFORMS=”Custom.mst”
Using a transform file does not affect the original package file. As a result, you can create as
many different transforms as you want, one for each type of custom configuration you want
to install.
