Duplicating Contact Items

If you try to enter a contact with the same name as an existing contact, Outlook warns you that you're creating a duplicate contact record with the Duplicate Contact Detected dialog box shown in Figure 9.24.

You can choose one of two actions. Choose either Add This as a New Contact anyway (which adds the contact as its own contact record) or Update New Information from This Contact to the Existing One.
