Using the Task Scheduler

Task Scheduler is a new application that comes with Internet Explorer 4.0 that can be used to schedule tasks to run at regular intervals. You might, for example, schedule Disk Defragmenter and ScanDisk to run every evening at 8 pm as part of your routine disk maintenance. Task Scheduler starts every time you start up Windows and runs in the background, so you don't even have to think about a task once it is scheduled. You can easily change the schedule for a task, or temporarily suspend all scheduled tasks, if you are busy on your computer during times when tasks are scheduled to be completed.
