Customizing the Keyboard

Although changing the keyboard speed doesn't result in a miracle that makes you type faster, it does speed up the rate at which characters are repeated. You also can change the delay before the character repeats.

To change keyboard properties, follow these steps.

1.
Open the Start menu and choose Settings, Control Panel; then choose Keyboard. The Keyboard properties sheet appears (see Figure 33.3).

Click a tab and make the changes you want.
3.
Click Apply to accept the change and to continue making changes, or click OK to accept the change and close the Keyboard properties sheet.
