Installing the Client for Microsoft Networks for Windows NT 4.0

The adapter and its driver are the components that communicate directly with the network. For Windows 95 to access the resources on an NT server, you must next install the Client for Microsoft Networks, which communicates with the rest of the operating system, and a protocol, which links the client and the adapter.

The following procedure describes the installation of the Client for Microsoft Networks, and all of the other components necessary to gain access to a Microsoft network and attach to a Windows NT server.

1.
Double-click the Network icon in the Control Panel and click Add.
