Creating a Standalone Projector
Before the Internet and Shockwave, the primary way to deploy Macromedia Director movies was with projectors. Director is still the main tool used for creating multimedia presentations and CD-ROMs.
A projector is a standalone application that other people can play on their computers without having Director. If the movie is authored correctly, it should run fine on all similar computer systems.
