To put your Macromedia Director movies on a Web site, you need to compress them into Shockwave files and then create HTML pages to contain these files. Doing this is easy with the Publish command, but there are many ways to customize your Shockwave movies as well.

A big misconception about Shockwave movies is that you have to “shock” (compress) them. This is not true. You can take a normal Director movie file and play it back in a Web browser with Shockwave.
