4 Broadcast
In many respects, writing for sports broadcasting is the same as writing for print because most of the same basics apply. Broadcasters cover game stories with the same things in mind—giving audiences the important details about who won and who played well. In terms of feature reporting, broadcasters should also look for important human or social contexts around which to build their stories. The same guidelines of interviewing discussed in Chapter 2 apply to broadcasters as well.
