Once your data is in SPSS, you may find that you want to analyze only some of your data or perform the same analysis on various subsets. For example, you may want to do separate analyses for new customers and returning customers.
In addition, sometimes data is kept in different files, and these files can be similar (for example, the same customer information just separated by location) or very different (for example, customer satisfaction information in one file and purchasing behavior in another). In this chapter, we discuss various data management techniques.
Selecting Data
The Select Cases transformation allows you to specify a group of interest and then run your analyses on only that group.
Follow these steps to select a subset of cases:
Choose File ⇒ Open ⇒ Data and load the GSS2018.sav file.
