Sample Databases Used in This Book
Bound into the back of the book, you’ll find a CD-ROM containing five sample databases that we use for the example queries throughout the book. We’ve also included diagrams of the database structures in Appendix B: Schema for the Sample Databases.
Sales Orders. This is a typical order entry database for a store that sells bicycles and accessories. (Every database book needs at least one order entry example, right?)
Entertainment Agency. We structured this database to manage entertainers, agents, customers, and bookings. You would use a similar design to handle event bookings or hotel reservations.
