Creating a bookmark

A bookmark in SSRS is another action that helps report consumers to easily navigate a report with a huge dataset. Let's create a bookmark by performing the following steps:

  1. Let's add another table to our SalesDetailsReport3. Find the T-SQL script named BookmarkReport.sql and create a dataset based on that script on the same report.

    Our dataset for this second table has three columns. It looks like the following report:

  2. Right-click on the [Category] data field of the first table, and then select Text Box Properties. On the Text Box Properties dialog window, select the Action tab.
  3. Select Go to bookmark as the action. Select [Category] ...
