Adding sparklines in the tablix

Find the T-SQL script called 2006SalesPerformanceReport.sql. Build the dataset using this script.

Drag a table object into the designer. Add the fields Sales Territory, Category, and Total Sales to the table.

Sparklines only display aggregated data. They won't work for a single detail. But just like the data bars, sparklines can display multiple series also; in our case, monthly sales for every category.

Let's group the Sales Territory field into a row group. Then, make the Category field as a child group to the Sales Territory group. Then, aggregate (Add Total) the Total Sales.

Format the table to look similar to the following illustration:
