Creating a new inbound rule for Analysis Services

Now that we have the correct information of the TCP port, let's create an inbound rule that would allow connections to Analysis Services.

  1. From the Administrative Tools, open Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, and create a new inbound rule (TCP Port). Click on the Next button:

  2. Create a new inbound rule to allow connections via TCP port 2383 (or 2382) in the firewall setting of the Analysis Services server. Click on the Next button:
