Of all the controllable qualities of light, color produces one of the greatest impacts on how we see an object and the surrounding environment. In fact, many say that color is the most difficult element for a young designer to control in a lighting design. Some of the reasons for this profound impact come from the fact that color has both physiological and psychological effects on how we view a scene or object.
