Budgeting

Keeping a record of your expenses is the very least that is expected of you in the area of budgeting. If you pay any money out of your pocket to further a production, whether it is 50¢ for a phone call to an actor who is late or the C.O.D. charge for a prop delivered to the theater, make a record of it, and, if possible, get a written receipt.
You may want to use an expenditures form (figure 7.1) and attach your receipts to it. Keep the form in your promptbook so that it is with you when you need it. Periodically turn in the receipts for reimbursement.
