Opening Performance

 

People working in theatre will go through many opening performances in their careers. Academically and in the tradition of theater, there should be no difference between the work being done during rehearsals, especially in the final day of techs, and the work one does during performance. It is expected that everyone works at performance peak at all times.

In theory, by opening performance, the cast, crew, and SMs should have had the full experience of the show. There should be no differences, no surprises between what took place in dress rehearsals and what will happen in the opening performance.
