Not at all. Radio is still a great medium. You can buy local markets very easily, and the cost to produce radio spots is peanuts compared to TV. There is no DVR to worry about—radio is 100 percent real time, and ad placement is pretty simple—drive time. Prime radio is 6:00 to 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 to 7:30 P.M. Radio is overlooked by a lot of marketers, and it shouldn't be. Radio is great for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations that want to reach a broad audience and just cannot afford TV.
Commuting by car will continue for decades, for sure, and there are more cars on the road every year. You should take advantage of this fact and seriously consider radio as part of most marketing campaigns. Sound by itself ...
