Chapter 4. Building Levels Using Scenes
So far, we learned how to freely navigate to the various parts of the Stencyl interface, establish a clear concept for our game project, create Backgrounds and Tilesets, and configure these game resources so that they are ready for use within our game levels. How do we build the levels themselves? In this chapter, we will learn how to:
- Use scenes to construct the first level for our game
- Attach backgrounds and foregrounds to the scene
- Sculpt level geometry through the intelligent use of the tileset
- Toggle background and foreground rendering on and off
