Techie Talk done. Full stop. So after we have sorted out the technical requirements, we go on to the subjects. Stock photography follows the same principles as any other branches of photography that make any good photo work – more or less.

So here’s a brief overview of image composition in general, before dealing with the question about what makes a good stock photo. If you have been into photography for years, you can easily skip this chapter – but mind you, a short refresher does no harm.

There are loads of books entirely on image design. For us, the four most important elements for creating good images will do: color, shape, perspective and contrast.
