15. Kicking Tires

I love finding and researching public companies. There are many attributes that are helpful here, but none as much as curiosity. I was always curious. I was that kid in Sunday School likely to ask, “But Father, if Jesus really were a Jew, why the Spanish name?” Curiosity is a good trait, but, oooh, the rulers hurt!

Each spring, we host the Burkenroad Reports Investment Conference. Executives from most of the companies we follow make presentations about the outlook for their companies and industries.
