Journeying from in-person to virtual doesn’t need to feel as if you’re metamorphosing from working a room to speaking into a black hole. Although the experiences are different, if you’re a good in-person presenter, you can easily transfer your skills to a virtual format. For example, being able to communicate clearly and confidently, engaging your audience, showing a sense of humor, and adapting to unexpected circumstances are all skills needed to present, regardless of the format.
In addition to leveraging your existing skills, there are many resources and tools to help you tailor your presentation style and content to suit the virtual format. This includes virtual whiteboards, slide sharing, break-out rooms, collaboration tools, and more.
