Shifting Values, New Challenges
Alongside the rational economic explanation of pure supply and demand in the employment market, we have a more perplexing shift taking place in values, attitudes and behaviours. No doubt every generation has felt the one coming behind is less hard working and committed, but that would be far too superficial and too generalized a label to place on this current generation of young wannabe professionals. However, if we take a somewhat more objective and broader perspective, we can perhaps begin to better understand what lies beneath the visible symptoms we all see on the surface.
