Typologies for Strategic Bootstrapping Success
Bootstrapping is not for the fainthearted. Growing without external finance is a challenging endeavor and certainly many attempts will fail. However, in keeping with the tone of Chapter 5, the entrepreneur can make decisions to greatly enhance their chances of success. Strategic bootstrapping is offered as a nostrum by outlining ways in which entrepreneurs may use the resources at hand in such a way that one can quickly attain legitimacy, break even, and grow so that bootstrapping—at least the onerous parts—will no longer be a necessity. This final chapter endeavors to further distill the points presented in previous chapters into the most salient advice.
