The basic structure of international compensation programs is similar to the structure of domestic compensation programs. The main components include base pay and employee benefits. The inclusion of nonperformance-based incentives and allowances distinguishes international compensation packages from domestic compensation packages. Table 13-1 lists the main components of international compensation programs.
