MODERATE STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE
Many firms acknowledge their strategic problems, but do not know how to fix them because they lack even moderate strategic intelligence. The term “moderate” is not meant to downplay the considerable challenges involved in developing a strategy – one of the most demanding intellectual tasks in business. It is merely intended to distinguish between the strategically competent and the expert, smart enterprises which we discuss in Chapter 1.5.
