IN THE PREVIOUS chapter, we focused on individuals’ listening. In this chapter, we will look at listening in an organizational setting. We discuss what strategic listening entails and how we can understand the concept of strategic listening. We will also present a range of reasons why it is essential for organizations to listen strategically. We begin the chapter by noting that successful organizations do listen.
