As you certainly know by now, the strategic staffing/workforce planning process begins when you review your business strategies and plans and identify your most critical staffing issues. Next, you develop a series of staffing strategies that best address your most critical issues. Finally, you define a specific set of staffing plans and actions—those that best support the implementation of your staffing strategies. Figure 23-1 summarizes this process.
