Working with Challenging Sponsors

You will not get the perfect project sponsor, and you shouldn’t expect to. The reality, which is also true of every team member and every other stakeholder—and of you, if you are completely honest—is that you will get what you get, and you will have to adapt your style, approach, and management technique accordingly.
