Quality Control
Quality problems are one of two top reasons companies fail (the other one
is running out of money). It is well known by now that no company can
survive for long—let alone grow—unless the quality of its products is as
good or better than its competitors. Slogans will not produce better qual-
ity. A quality plan will!
In a manufacturing company, the quality function should not be report-
ing to production. at is like having monkeys in charge of peanuts.
Some companies appoint a quality director to report to the CEO or to their
