Think weekly, then daily
Don’t be a slave to a daily ‘to do’ list. See the big picture. On Monday morning lose the sinking ‘I’ve got so much to do’ sensation. Instead, think ‘What are my goals for this week?’ Decide what you want to have done by Friday and then break each goal into smaller tasks that have to be undertaken to achieve all you want by Friday. Slot these tasks into your working week, a few each day. This helps you prioritise that the tricky or difficult things, or tasks that depend other people’s input, are dealt with in plenty of time.
