Avoid the perfection trap
Your need to ‘get it perfect’ isn’t about perfection. It’s about staying in control and that isn’t conducive to living a calm life.
What is your image of a calm life? Close your eyes and envision it. Chances are that your daydreams don’t include clutter, disorder, your sociopathic boss or your ‘fat’ clothes. No, our calm life is always inextricably twinned with our perfect life. Which means we can’t be calm until we get perfect. But ironically, we’re so busy rushing around trying to get perfect we never get calm.
