Brainstorm to a better way
Arrange for a group of friends to support you in resolving a personal challenge. An hour will do fine. Arranging food or drinks always makes the invitation a bit more inviting. But stick to your agenda first, then socialise. Arrange to meet in a quiet space where you won’t be distracted. In the first ten minutes outline your challenge or issue. The group then has 30 minutes to ask you a series of questions or make comments. Listen and take note of the questions and the comments. At the end take another ten minutes to share your thoughts and reflections on what’s been said, thank your guests and close the proceedings. This is a variation on the Quaker practice called the Clearness Committee.
